Raymond J. Noonan, Ph.D., is an assistant professor of human sexuality and health education at the Fashion Institute of Technology of the State University of New York (FIT-SUNY) in Manhattan. He is also producer/director of SexQuest/The Sex Institute, providing educational consulting in human sexuality and educational content for the World Wide Web [http://www.SexQuest.com/]. He was coeditor of the award-winning Continuum Complete International Encyclopedia of Sexuality (CCIES, Francoeur & Noonan, 2004), to which he contributed the chapter “Outer Space and Antarctica: Sexuality Factors in Extreme Environments” and numerous contributions to the United States, Brazil, and other chapters. He was associate editor of volume four of the International Encyclopedia of Sexuality (Francoeur & Noonan, 2001), and contributed articles to Robert T. Francoeur’s three-volume International Encyclopedia of Sexuality (Francoeur, 1997). He was also coeditor and author of Does Anyone Still Remember When Sex Was Fun? Positive Sexuality in the Age of AIDS (3rd edition) (Anderson, de Mauro, & Noonan, 1996).

His current major project outside of teaching is CCIES at The Kinsey Institute, the online version of The Continuum Complete International Encyclopedia of Sexuality, for which he is Web Editor.
